No real surprises except for perhaps in Div 5 where newcomers to the competition Hahediba silenced their critics to claim a grand final spot in their first year of competition. Hahediba put paid to all that Commerce and Industry had to offer and then perhaps some more, when they won in style, 14 - 11.
The National Gaming Board also made their intentions known for the Division 4 decider when they beat Commerce & Industry 13 - 8 in what we hear was an excellent display of rallying work from both sides.
PNG Power provided a masterful performance to give notice to the Department of Labour that their Division 2 loss the previous week was only a prelude to bigger things. In the process they smacked Telikom 2 by 22-16 for an impressive win.

The Ombudsmen (Eagles) in Division 1 beat the Didimeri's comfortably 21-15 to set the stage for what it expected to be quite a grand final next week with Works. For their part, the Didimeri's were gracious giving the OC Eagles a hard game right to the finish but the composure of the watchdog ladies held making it an impressive grand final run from third place.
The main game of the day had to be the evenly matched contest everybody expected it to be and for while there it seemed the green machine may have been able to pull off a coup but the end came too soon and it was Telikom who managed to just scrape it home by the same score they lost to Fisheries by last week.
For a moment there it appeared the game would be going into extra time, but a communication glitch on pass directed to the hoop saw a turn over too close to full time, allowing the game to slip from their finger tips. With a win of 18 - 17, they and all the winning sides for Sunday now focus on the big one next week.

on Saturday afternoon.
All the winning teams today should now be looking as asserting their beliefs in a win next week.
The only blight in yesterday's program was the not event of the Div 3 match up between Sports and NBC. The issue arising from last week resulting in the forfeiture of Sports' win against IOPP continues with no clear resolution in sight. We will keep your posted as information comes to hand.
Grand finalists therefore for 2010 (except for Div 3)
Premier Div - Telikom v NFA
Div 1 - Ombusmen Commission v Works
Div 2 - Department of Labour v PNG Power
Div 3 - Disputed
Div 4 - NGCB v MRA
Div 5 - Hahediba v Department of Justice
Congratulations to all teams that make the final pack. It looks like it's going to be a real contest next week in all divisions and we can't wait to see what happend. The invitation should be out to supporters and real netball punters, come along and see some of the sparks fly as the ladies hit the court in top gear next week.
Bring along some sun screen, some colour to tell us what your pick is and soak in some real head to head netball.
For those who have already called regarding images, they should be sorted by Monday afternoon.
Until then we'll see you "near the hoop"
