It's Going to be a Busy Little Weekend

This weekend will be interesting with the PSNA holding its preliminary finals on Saturday morning and the PCNC completing round 1 on Sunday.  From all we've heard, next week will be a rest week for all at the PCNC except some catch up games and the PSNA will play their semi or elimination finals to determine who plays in their Grand Final.

PSNA's top seed Telikom, seems to be out to prove a point as it battles the Fisheries ladies in the main premier division game at 11:25 tomorrow.  Both teams finished the season on 23 points with only Telikom's total season percentage/points average deciding the final placing.  As minor premiers, Telikom have the added pressure of keeping the winning form strong but NFA are no pushovers and they will be looking to make amends this weekend.  Either team will take a psychological boost into the Grand Finals if they win tomorrow so it will be very interesting.  It should be a cracker of a game so be there or be square.

Both Finance and NBC have a real shot at being the last team standing as they both have had a decent season with only one point separating the first three teams and a further point separating teams 3 and four at the close of the main season.

It will be best foot forward tomorrow for these four teams.

The Didimeri's will also be looking to maintaining the advantage as the feature game in Division 1.  Whether or not luck has anything to do with it, consistency has certainly shown in the performance of the first three teams in this Division.  Only two points separate the Didimeri's and Works 1 and then there is another two points between Works 1 and the Ombudsmen Commission Eagles who occupy third spot on the ladder.  Based on performance, NCDC on fourth spot will have to really work to beat the watchdog team if they intend to make a claim for the Division 1 pennant.

premier division tie against Fisheries (below) in their patchwork pale blue.

Divisions 2 to 5 have a real mixed bag for the finals and as the points cluster at seasons end shows it will depend on which team turns up more willing on the day that will detemine who books a spot in the grand final this year.

In div 2, Water Board missed out on a place in the top four on a points average or percentage as they call it in netball.  They, along with Telikom and BPNG ended the season on 17 points, however, the percentage average ranked the other two teams higher ending their season for 2010.

Congratulations to all the teams identified for tomorrows games and especially to the Minor Premier's  of each division.  It should be good day tomorrow, so if you've nothing better to do Saturday morning.  Come on down to the courts tomorrow for a squiz, adopt a team and make some noise for the ladies on the court.  You never know, we might just take a picie of you for these pages........

From us at NTH, it's see you at the courts.
