Upload of Images from PCNC competition - Sunday 7th March 2010 (130 Images)

We are pleased to announce that images from last Sunday's matches have been uploaded to our Picasa Galleries this evening.  There is 135 images uploaded for your enjoyment and again, your comments would be appreciated.

To the Steamships Hotel Division ladies, please accept our apologies, the power interruptions did corrupt the drive your images were on and we were not able to recover them.  We'll make a special effort in round 2 to give your games coverage.

We love to show our "faces in the crowd" which continues to broaden as the season progresses.  There is definitely a new mix developing in its composition with those we speak to confirming, that more and more families appear to me making the trek out to the courts each Sunday to watch the days games.

The following are again a few shots from last Sunday.

It's always a pleasure to feel the buzz, to know people are genuinely happy to be there.  It is also a pleasure to convey that buzz to the rest of world, the rest of PNG, to the corporation executives that don't know what they are missing out on and reflect for them, the positive input they make in encouraging this interaction by their workers.

Of course, every now and then we witness the attendance of senior business personnel or perhaps the extended circle of friends that do not often venture beyond the fortified garrisons they call home.  To them, we say welcome, come more often and we're certain your staff, friends etc. appreciate you taking the time.

But this weeks special mention goes to the sportsmen and women of the future.  How good it must be to share in a social occasion each week with the family, to play without a whim and start a following for bigger sister, cousin,  mum or auntie in a sport that so many people are a part of.  To share in competition that will shape their view of sports must be encouraging for them, showing them how they interact with people, the fundamentals of good will and most of all, good sportsmanship.

It is these attributes that make bringing these pages to you, so worthwhile.  So enjoy your sport, enjoy your friendships and enjoy your family.  We hope to be seeing you again soon, at the courts.
